South Canterbury Finance is one of New Zealand’s longest established and largest non bank deposit taker with a receivables book of $2 Billion. The company relies on the support of the New Zealand public in financing its lending operations through the issue of financial instruments and currently operates a debenture, bond and deposit book of $1.6 Billion. A number of restructuring initiatives are underway to provide a sound platform for the longer term.
South Canterbury Finance will expand the role of the Investment Services Team to include an active investor relations programme to assist in attracting new investment and retaining its existing investor base. The newly created Head of Investor Relations and Services (IRS) will report directly to the CEO and be responsible for both inbound and outbound communications with investors, working alongside Treasury. Based in Christchurch, the Head of IRS will proactively manage all external investor relationships including the broking and advisory community, advertising, PR and media. He/she will be supported by teams of investment advisors and investment services representatives.
Applications are welcomed from senior executives with a wealth of corporate finance and funding experience, possibly from an investment banking background, who excel at relationship building, marketing and all forms of communication. Attributes sought include an intelligent approach to work, high energy levels, strong ethics, proactivity and well honed presentation skills. The role is attractively remunerated and structured initially on a twelve month contract.
